Share To Win for Causes
Help your favorite non-profit win support and money just by spreading the word!
Share to Win is a fun contest we put together to help health, environment and education-related non-profit causes push the boundaries of the social internet to get people talking about them and to raise money for their mission.
We’re donating money to five non-profits who can share a mission that resonates online. Just post information about a cause you care about as a note on 3banana, and then spread the word using email and social networks like Twitter or Facebook.
At the end of September, we will declare five winners: a $5,000 Grand Prize, a $2,000 Runner Up, and three Honorable Mentions of $1,000 each. The Honorable Mentions will include one cause from each category: Health, Education, and Environment.
The causes that spread the most — as measured by online comments — can win donations from 3banana, while engaging supporters and recruiting new ones. It’s a double win. Simple as that.
Entering Share to Win is easy. Just follow these three simple steps:
- Create a free Notebook on 3banana. You can sign up with any valid email address. If you have a Gmail account, Google does the authentication for us and you don’t even need a password!
- Compose a note that answers the question: “Why should people care about our cause?” Be sure to include the organization’s name and the tag #sharetowin on the first line. Your note then will be assigned a secret web address.
- Share the link to your note on Twitter and with sharetowin [at] gmail [dot] com to let us know that you have entered the contest — and then tell the world by sharing your cause’s note, far and wide on Facebook, Twitter, email — and beyond.
The note that gets the most comments …. wins! You can rally your friends and supporters and find new friends and supporters for your cause — without asking them for any money.
All they need to do is sign-in and leave a comment about why they support your cause. You will know people care about your cause when you see a stream of encouraging comments from other supporters.
